The Chameleon is a complete hammock designed from the ground up by Dutchware. Each of the components that go into the Chameleon have been developed to create a versatile and modular lightweight hammock that easily adapts to its environment. Because you can remove and replace components, such as the bug net for the top cover, the Chameleon will be a versatile hammock, and perhaps the only hammock you will ever need.
The Chameleon body is:
- 11 feet
- Made of Hexon W16 1.6 ripstop fabric.
- Available in 2 widths: Regular and Wide. The Regular is 1.47m (58") and the Wide is 1.72m (68") wide.
- The Chameleon contains Continuous Loops, Structural Ridgeline, mosquito net and shock cord tie outs.
The weight:
- Regular is 437 grams without mosquito net, Wide is 484 grams without mosquito net
- Mosquito net weighs 123 grams
- Total weight including mosquito net Regular 560 grams and Wide 607 grams

Na 2 jaar dagelijks ( nachtelijks) in deze hangmat te hebben geslapen wil ik nooit meer in een bed slapen.
2 zomers geen mug om m'n kop gehad die me wakker hield. Was het te heet kon ik m'n slaapzak in de inmiddels toegevoegde sidesling opbergen en bij echt bloedhete nachten sliep ik lekker koel met een natte handdoek.
Het materiaal van de body ligt lekker zacht en ademt fantastisch. Het is simpel uit te wassen en heel snel droog.
Na 2 jaar is nergens nog slijtage te zien of te voelen. Ik ben een erg onrustige slaper maar dat is op de body niet te zien. De ritsen lopen nog steeds als de eerste dag en de stiknaden laten nergens los.
Vorig jaar ook de topcover erbij gekocht voor in de wintermaanden. 1x ook in de lente gebruikt toen ik met m'n gezicht in de wind lag. Ding weegt niks dus muggennet eraf en topcover erop. Was in 5 min aangepast.
In die 2 jaar ben ik niet meer wakker geworden van de pijn in m'n rug ( wel in m'n kop na een avondje tanken maar das m'n eigen schuld)
Heerlijke hangmat, slaapt fantastisch!
Heerlijk ruim en comfortabel, de mogelijkheid om stapsgewijs accesories toe te voegen/vervangen of te verwijderen gaf voor mij de doorslag en heb er geen seconde spijt van gehad.
Goeie shop met kwaliteits producten en snelle levering.
Veel kennis van hangen omdat t echte hangers zijn.
Service kan niet beter: is er een probleem zitten ze er meteen bovenop.
Super happy with my new Chameleon single layer hammock. I have slept many nights in it already in conditions ranging from heavy rain to sleet to cold weather (-5 to -10°C).
Being used to a zipper on one side of the hammock I really started to appreciate the zippers on both sides of the Chameleon. It's easy to get in and out, and to reach gear inside the hammock.
I settled for a Chameleon because of it's versatility. It was a good choice. During the early winter months here in Finland I have really enjoyed the top cover, it adds just a little extra warmth, and I'm sure it will be nice to swap it for the bug net when the temperatures get higher.
In dry winter conditions I don't use a tarp and it has been lovely to gaze at the stars through the bug net window in the top cover.
After having slept head-left-feet-right for many years, I just had to set up the Chameleon head-right-feet-left. Just because I can.
I guess many hammocks nowadays come with pack hooks on the side, but it's indeed a nice feature that the Chameleon shouldn't lack. (What I don't understand is the use of D-rings. They don't stay in place. So, why not use O-rings instead?!)

Prima hammock, kwaliteit, sterk en ligt ergonomische zoals een goede hammock kan bieden. Combinatie top cover is zeker een aanrader voor in de winter.
